Callback Auditions Day 2

Those not called back ARE NOT CUT.  

Everyone who was at the first callback is still being considered for roles.  

Please note the audition window has been extended 30 minutes from what was originally announced just in case we need it.

Casting will be announced no later than F 10/4 at 9:00a via the blog. Cast list will be posted on the auditorium door by 12:00p on F 10/4 as well. Note that First Read and Orientation is on that day.  You must be available for the F 10/4 First Read and Orientation.

NW16: URGENT - Parent / Guardian Signature

Some actors, due to last minute decisions to sign up, did not acquire the proper parent / guardian signature on the audition form.  

There are 4 of you.  

Those 4 must now have their guardian email me directly and tell me that they fully support their child auditioning and participating in this production.

Callback Auditions Day 1

W 10/2  (4:15p – 7:30p)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  100% CALLED BACK!!!

As a result of the absolutely stellar work in general auditions, I have found it important to see more before I can make any cuts. Given the focused and extremely thoughtful effort over the two days, I am calling everyone back for the first day of callbacks.  (No one is allowed to join callbacks only for incentive points.)

That said, the following actors are called back provisionally, because paperwork indicates more information is needed to officially allow a callback audition. These issues could be regarding conflicts, grades, missing information, etc.  Do not be alarmed; an additional conversation is simply needed.

RE: 11/1 and 11/15 Mandatory Dates

I am aware that these mandatory dates have raised concerns.

ONE

Friday 11/1 

10:00a - 6:00p

This date conflicts with Children's Theatre Workshop. We are working this out so no one in NW16 needs to be concerned.

TWO

Friday 11/15

4:15p - 7:00p

This date potentially conflicts with Music-a-thon. We are currently in discussions to see how to handle this.

Bottom line: No one should be concerned about auditioning based on these "mandatory" dates. We are working as an artistic department team to ensure students don't have to "choose".

NW16: The Audition Info Packet! / Sign Ups!

The sign up sheet for generals will be on the auditorium door very soon. Don't delay in signing up!

AUDITION DRAFTS

What is an audition draft?  

This is the current draft being used for the auditions.  Actors who audition should be prepared (in both the general auditions and call back auditions) to read anything from these plays. 

Are these the final drafts?  

NO.  Numerous rewrites may take place over the course of rehearsals.  New work is never "done" but always "in process".  Typically, scripts will be "set" with no more changes about 1 week from tech rehearsals.
