IMPORTANT

The above calls are considered MANDATORY.  Few, if any, exceptions will be made.  It is assumed you will attend all of the above calls unless you alert Lydia Fecker by Monday 4/16 at 12:00p.  If you have conflicts, be clear on what that means so we can assess if you are still permitted to remain on crew.

EXAMPLES:

“I must leave at 8:30p on F 4/20.”

“I will arrive no later than 7:30p on M 4/23.”

“I cannot be there at all on W 4/25.”

Failure to show up to your call times may result in removal from the production.

When coming to work, you must be in work clothes - meaning, be prepared to get dirty.  LHS Drama is not responsible for any clothing that is ruined during this process.  You must also wear close-toed shoes.

*All schedules are subject to change.  If changes occur, we will communicate in a timely manner.

REMINDER: Rehearsal Supplies

BE A PREPARED PERFORMER

As stated early on, the expectation is that each actor have:

1.  A dedicated notebook (3 ring binder preferred)
2.  Plenty of blank paper
3.  Multiple pencils / erasers
4.  Script
5.  Highlighter

I also suggest always coming to rehearsal with:

1.  Water bottle with water already in it 

2.  A healthy, protein rich snack

3.  Cough drops / lozenges (in the event you are dealing with a cold - or sudden onset of symptoms)

4.  Pain relievers (Tylenol, Advil, etc - if parents allow you this medication for unforeseen headaches, etc.)

5.  Hand sanitizer (great for quick germ killing when you can't get to a sink to properly wash hands; also good on the feet to kill sweat/odor for barefoot rehearsals)

6.  Extra deodorant (for, you know...)

7.  Gum / Mints / Mouthwash (when you can't get to a sink to brush your teeth so as to be respectful when breathing in your peers' faces on stage)

We have not had one rehearsal without an actor forgetting a script, a pencil, or paper.  Actors have also come in with nothing to drink.

I hold the belief that taking time for proper organization and good rehearsal practices will always translate to a better show and a more enjoyable experience overall.  You may disagree...but in this production, you will all do it my way.  :)

Consider this a friendly reminder.  The next one?  Not so friendly.

As always, you must come to rehearsals prepared to move.  This is not new info.  But repeating it doesn't hurt!

Today, you will be doing movement improvisation and must be in suitable movement clothing and will work barefoot.

Please read the schedule carefully.  Given the truncated process - and given my assessment - I have added a little time on the front end by starting now at 3:45p.  As well, times are often a bit odd in terms of starts and stops.  Also note the later evenings on 4/17 and 4/18 as previously announced (please plan homework time carefully on those dates if you have a late rehearsal) and be reminded of the Saturday evening rehearsal on 4/21.

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to remain healthy and to attend your rehearsals.  Any absences moving forward will result in huge setbacks.  You must come to your calls with high energy, intense focus, and fully prepared to work.
