Below are details regarding crew positions. The Stage Managers will soon be posting a sign up on the door. They will assess the list, then arrange interviews (as necessary) for next week.

There is a new draft of Humanicana.  Cast members in that play, please click HERE to read and/or download. Hard copies will be available after school on Tuesday 10/8. Please come by that day to pick one up so you can be fully highlighted for your Wednesday rehearsal.

NW16: Casting Notice / First Rehearsal

The auditions were truly a joy. In all the years of New Works, this group of actors is in my top 3 - easily!  You all revealed yourselves to be incredibly talented, thoughtful, respectful, and kind.  Everyone should be so proud! Sadly, I cannot cast everyone. My hope is that, after processing any disappointment, those not cast will strongly consider being involved in other ways. We will have more information on crew and other opportunities very soon. As well, anyone not cast who would like feedback on their audition may email me to set up a brief conversation.  Please read everything below!

FIRST REHEARSAL AND ORIENTATION

TODAY - FRIDAY 10/4

4:00p – 8:00p

This is a mandatory rehearsal*. Please make sure you grab a meal or snack after school. There will be no official dinner break. Be back and ready to go by 4:00p in the auditorium.  

Today, we will:

1.  discuss expectations

2.  hand out costume measurement forms

3.  read through the plays and discuss them with the playwrights.  

4.  launch into some theater exercises, (be prepared to move and to work barefoot).

*Jackson Jennings is excused for bereavement.  We will ask an actor in the cast to fill in for him today and read TORIN.  Jackson will return next week.

Some actors, due to last minute decisions to sign up, did not acquire the proper parent / guardian signature on the audition form.  

There are 4 of you.  

Those 4 must now have their guardian email me directly and tell me that they fully support their child auditioning and participating in this production.
