The auditions were truly a joy. In all the years of New Works, this group of actors is in my top 3 - easily! You all revealed yourselves to be incredibly talented, thoughtful, respectful, and kind. Everyone should be so proud! Sadly, I cannot cast everyone. My hope is that, after processing any disappointment, those not cast will strongly consider being involved in other ways. We will have more information on crew and other opportunities very soon. As well, anyone not cast who would like feedback on their audition may email me to set up a brief conversation. FIRST REHEARSAL AND ORIENTATION
TODAY - FRIDAY 10/4
4:00p – 8:00p
This is a mandatory rehearsal*. Please make sure you grab a meal or snack after school. There will be no official dinner break. Be back and ready to go by 4:00p in the auditorium.
Today, we will:
1. discuss expectations
2. hand out costume measurement forms
3. read through the plays and discuss them with the playwrights.
4. launch into some theater exercises, (be prepared to move and to work barefoot).
